About Kuppa Joy

Kuppa Joy is a community-focused coffee brand founded in 2012 in Clovis, California. They serve high-quality artisan coffee and beverages while creating welcoming spaces for connection, fellowship, and community engagement.

Beyond coffee, Kuppa Joy also supports outreach through its Kuppa Cares nonprofit, partnering with local programs to serve people in need and deepen community impact.

Challenge: Static inventory systems and error‑prone warehouse workflows

Kuppa Joy operates eight retail coffee shops along with a centralized warehouse, roastery, bakery, kitchen, and corporate offices.

Prior to Prediko, they relied on a mix of manual processes and Thrive Metrics, an inventory platform that worked well for retail shops but struggled to support warehouse and production complexity.

Their key challenges

  • Limited support for warehouse‑specific needs, such as multiple vendors, lead times, and expiration dates
  • Static reorder points that required constant manual recalculation
  • Fragmented workflows spread across tools, spreadsheets, and even whiteboards
  • Low confidence in purchase quantities driven by historical guesses rather than real usage

This approach increased the risk of over‑ordering, shortages, and downstream operational issues.

Why Kuppa Joy chose Prediko

Kuppa Joy began looking for tools to simplify warehouse operations. Prediko was evaluated alongside Thrive Metrics, which they were already using and treated as the internal benchmark.

Prediko stood out for its ability to handle warehouse-level planning while still being easy to use. What ultimately set it apart was its dynamic planning model, which bases inventory decisions on days of usage and automatically accounts for trends, seasonality, and lead times.

As Jackson put it, “When I put Prediko next to other inventory systems side by side, it’s a no‑brainer. It was exactly what I was picturing was going to be out there.”

Rather than forcing fixed inventory numbers, Prediko allowed the team to define how many days of coverage they wanted on hand and let the system dynamically adjust as demand changed.

Solution: Dynamic forecasting for raw materials and finished goods

Today, Prediko is used daily across Kuppa Joy’s warehouse and production operations. Department heads, warehouse managers, and production teams, all rely on it because it offers

1. Single interface for demand, supply, and replenishment planning

With Prediko, Kuppa Joy gets a single dashboard to plan demand, manage supply, and make replenishment decisions.

Having all planning logic in one place has reduced manual checks and eliminated the need to constantly re‑evaluate usage trends.

2. Raw materials management for production and distribution

Raw materials are used every day at Kuppa Joy, both to produce items in the warehouse and to distribute ingredients to retail shops.

Prediko enables the team to track ingredients that are

  • Consumed in production (e.g., beverages made at the warehouse)
  • Shared across multiple products
  • Also shipped directly to shops

As Jackson explained, “Raw materials is one (feature) we use all the time, every day. The more robust that’s gotten, the more we’ve liked it.”

3. Automated purchase orders with high trust in recommendations

Prediko auto‑generates purchase orders based on usage, lead times, and desired days of coverage. Over time, the team has developed strong confidence in these recommendations.

As a result, Kuppa Joy has created 900+ purchase orders till date, through Prediko with minimal manual adjustment.

4. Vendor-wise views replace manual tracking

Kuppa Joy uses custom Prediko views to group vendors by ordering day (Monday, Tuesday, etc.), replacing a previously manual whiteboard workflow.

Jackson shared, “We used to have a whiteboard of who we ordered from each day. Now we just click Monday and everything’s there.”

This structure allows the team to focus on pricing and execution rather than juggling the constraints of 50-60 vendors.

5. Unified production and bill‑of‑materials workflows

Previously, Kuppa Joy managed bill-of-materials and production planning separately from their broader inventory workflows. With Prediko’s integrated raw materials workflows, production and inventory planning now operate within a single system.

Raw material consumption, finished goods forecasting, and replenishment decisions are all connected, reducing manual reconciliation and improving visibility across teams.

Managing warehouse operations doesn’t have to be a constant battle with whiteboards and manual workarounds.

With Prediko, warehouse-level planning (and execution) can be as simple as a few clicks. Start a 14-day free trial to see it in action with your own data.

“I never think about specific quantities anymore. I just tell it (Prediko) how many days of usage I need, and it accounts for seasonality. It’s basically set it and forget it.”

“Before Prediko, it would be a shot in the dark. You’d look at what you ordered last year, multiply it by 1.2, and call it good.”

“We’re really not checking usage anymore. We’re counting less. There’s just a lot less thinking, which is super nice."

“The recommendations, we trust them quite a bit now. The amount of editing POs has gone way down.”
